We are sad to inform you that David S. Mason passed away on January 24, 2015, at his home in La Crescenta, California. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 37 years, Frances Mason; three children from his first wife Dorothy; daughter Patricia Mason Fowler of La Crescenta, daughter Barbara Lorraine Brown of Tucson, son David Michael Mason of Los Angeles, and stepdaughter Dorsey Johnston of Atascadero; along with eight grandchildren, Doug, Nicole, Bud, Kacey, Nicolas, Miriam, Jonathan, and Jessica; and one great grandchild, Gideon.  He is predeceased by his father, Thomas Francis Mason, MAI, his mother Eva Gay Mason, his older brother Thomas F. Mason, Jr., his older brother James J. Mason, MAI, and first wife Dorothy N. Mason.

Dave enjoyed spending time at his ranch in Valyermo and his cabin in Aspendell when he wasn’t off flying and discovering new places.  He enjoyed listening to jazz, hiking, fishing, kayaking and ping pong.  Dave loved animals and spoiled his furry family members, dogs and cats alike!  He was a friend and mentor to many as well as a generous man with a big heart.  He will be greatly missed.
