Bradford Thompson is the newly installed 85th President of the Southern California Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. As a partner at Mason & Mason, Brad represents the fifth president serving the appraisal profession in the firm’s history that dates back 91 years, continuing a long-standing tradition of service. One of the first presidents of the Southern California Chapter in 1939 was the founder of Mason & Mason, Thomas F. Mason, MAI.
Prior to and while serving as Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President, Brad served as leader or member of various committees within the Appraisal Institute both locally and nationally. In addition, as a designated member of the International Right of Way Association, Brad has also been instrumental in organizing and speaking at the annual valuation seminar programs. He is in demand professionally for his expertise in valuing complex properties for litigation with his expert witness testimony in mediation, arbitration and in the courtroom, as well as for his specialties; possessory interests for tax appeals and complex valuations. Brad’s other professional activities include serving as a member of the Arcadia Planning Commission. The Mason family, inclusive of all the Mason & Mason staff, the Thompson Family, sons Cole, Casey and wife Dana support and cheer Brad on as he spearheads the Southern California Chapter of the Appraisal Institute in 2017.
